
Concentration #1: Candle Lit
The candlelight can seemingly expose my hollow insides, and the person I am behind the mask through experimentation with textures and strong contrasting colors.​

Concentration #2: Colorless: Amsterdam Canal
Light can allow one to see color. The layered mixed medium demonstrates the significance of light in the world and its ability to give color to some of the most beautiful views.

Concentration #3: Afternoon Tea
The idea is a spotlight, where the food and the tea are highlighted and the people are not due to the lack of color. A commentary on human gluttony and the facade of luxury activities as an escape.

Concentration #4: Presense
Paint, embroidery, and printmaking create elements on top of the background, a room representing the possibly existing me. The neon colors contribute to the sense of flashing and disappearing, questioning the idea of existence.

Concentration #5: Moving Still
The movement of light is demonstrated through the broken color technique.

Concentration #6: Glow
Light from technology, blue light, controls our movements and thoughts, but also allows us to explore the world.

Concentration #7: Overexposed
An exploration of the sunlight shining down through window blinds, blinking lights are overexposed to create whiteness, another nothingness.

Concentration #8: Beyond the Outlook
Knowledge brings one light and a brighter possibility or future depending on how one utilizes it. For me, it means learning more about my culture and showing my fangs through my identity as a student. My imagination is also by books.

Concentration #9: Overwhelmed
This piece illustrates a shift in feelings, a lack of light in my life, and the feeling of expectations weighing me down, overwhelming me.

Concentration #10: Solitary
This study of the color of light demonstrates how a color can bring emotion to a piece. The monochromatic blues convey a melancholy feeling of solidarity and isolation, a representation of my inner self feeling unfulfilled and lonely.
